We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our client location in Friendswood.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals.
Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Prepare and file tax documents in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Utilize accounting software such as and Quicken for bookkeeping tasks.
Apply knowledge of governmental accounting principles when necessary.
Monitor financial transactions for accuracy, including debits and credits.
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage and QuickBooks online & desktop version
Strong understanding of general ledger reconciliation processes.
Knowledge of tax regulations and filing requirements.
Familiarity with financial concepts related to accounting practices.

Benefits: Temp to hire role

Pay: $24.00-$28.00

Once hired on directly- after 90 days you are given Health insurance, will receive week of paid vacation and holidays. Note, holidays are not given during tax season.

Hours: M-TH 8AM-5PM Friday 8AM-3PM
