ABOUT THE ROLE
TaxRise is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our finance team and oversee day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing leadership and guidance to accounting staff.

Annual Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 (Full-time, exempt)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead, mentor, and manage a small accounting team
Oversee and verify daily accounting entries and financial transactions
Manage and reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounts
Reconcile merchant and bank accounts regularly
Review and prepare documentation for billing disputes
Generate timely and accurate financial statements and reports
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
Support internal and external audits
Collaborate with finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements
Manage special projects and ad hoc accounting tasks as needed

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

6+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
Proven experience with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP)
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
Ability to work effectively with individuals across all levels of the organization
