Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and tax preparation, demonstrating proficiency in financial concepts and accounting software. This role requires excellent analytical skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Tax Preparer, you will assist clients in preparing their tax returns accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Analyze financial information to determine tax liability and identify potential deductions.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage to manage client accounts effectively.
Provide guidance on various tax-related matters, including corporate accounting and public accounting practices.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks as needed, including maintaining accurate financial records.
Conduct thorough reviews of financial documents to ensure accuracy in tax filings.
Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on their tax status.
Collaborate with team members to enhance marketing strategies for attracting new clients.

Qualifications

Proven experience in tax preparation or related field, with a solid understanding of financial sales concepts.
Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial software tools.
Strong knowledge of public accounting principles, corporate accounting practices, and technical accounting standards.
Excellent math skills with the ability to perform calculations accurately using 10 key typing methods.
Strong analytical skills to assess financial data effectively.
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Previous experience in sales or marketing is a plus.
Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
