JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Accounting Manager will play a key role in leading and supporting critical financial operations and drive strategic initiatives across the organization. This role will focus on enhancing our financial reporting, leading strategic projects, and strengthening team capabilities. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented leader with a passion for process improvement, data analysis, and team development.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and support key strategic initiatives, including NetSuite ERP implementation, creation of financial reporting package, acquisition integration, and financial/operational metrics and dashboards development.
Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documentation to streamline accounting and reporting workflows.
Collaborate across departments to ensure data transparency, consistency, and alignment of financial strategies with business goals.
Develop QA processes to ensure accuracy and quality in financial data and reporting outputs.
Manage the full-cycle accounting close process to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with all accounting policies and procedures.
Act as a backup for key operational areas (AP, AR, leasing, and settlements) to ensure business continuity.
Analyze financial and operational data to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
Prepare data-driven reports, dashboards, and financial packages for internal leadership and stakeholders.
Review existing operational processes, identify opportunities for automation, and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, reduce manual tasks, and streamline workflows.
Collaborate with senior leadership to improve financial visibility and support forecasting and budgeting efforts.
Mentor and develop accounting team members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the finance team.
Partner with external auditors and CPAs by preparing schedules, answering inquiries, managing audit preparations and ensuring accurate and timely responses.
Ensure financial compliance with GAAP and applicable tax regulations.
Work closely with HR and Marketing teams to support internal initiatives such as employee engagement, communication campaigns, and recognition efforts.
Act as a resource for cross-departmental initiatives requiring accounting insight or financial impact analysis.
Performs other accounting duties or special projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Masters/Bachelor/Associate Accounting Degree required (CPA strongly preferred).
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong analytical and data modeling skills.
Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems required.
Deep knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial best practices.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
