Tax Manager
Thaney & Associates, CPAs are looking for an experienced accountant that has had experience in Public Accounting. As our client list continues to grow, it’s necessary to build a team that will support the continued growth of our firm. This is a great opportunity for those looking to make a real impact, but with a firm who specializes in a variety of services.
We are looking for someone that is organized, resourceful, proactive, and accountable for their work, but can also:
· Resolve a wide range of accounting issues
· Demonstrate flexibility and creativity in solving problems
· Perform proactively, efficiently, and self-manage
· Clearly communicate effectively
· Must be organized and Detail-oriented
· Assist with client relationships
Requirements
· Certified Public Accountant or CPA Candidate preferred, but not required
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
· 5-7 years of experience in Public Accounting
· Experience with various Federal and State tax returns including individual, corporate, trust, estate, nonprofit and partnership
· Knowledge of tax planning
· Knowledge in U.S. GAAP
· Financial Statement knowledge - audit, review, and compilation
· Moderate to Experienced research skills
· Strong technology skills - Excel, Word, Outlook, and CCH Axcess software preferred
