Position SummaryThe
Accounting & Finance Manager will be a key member of the corporate leadership team, serving as the right hand to the CAO. This newly created position will play a central role in consolidating financials across the growing portfolio, building structure at the corporate HQ, and ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting. You will lead and mentor a team of four transactional accounting and administrative professionals and be instrumental in shaping the financial infrastructure during a period of rapid transformation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the monthly consolidation of three operating companies, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other close-related activities
- Manage the percentage of completion reporting by correctly recognizing revenue and expenses as work progresses.
- Investigate and resolve unusual or unexpected items on the P&L; collaborate with portfolio company accounting members to understand variances
- Supervise and develop a team of transactional accounting and administrative staff
- Assist in the ongoing implementation of an MS ERP and help optimize processes across entities
- Partner with the CAO to establish and document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls at the corporate level
- Support financial reporting to the private equity sponsor, and other stakeholders
- Serve as a key liaison between corporate and the portfolio companies' finance teams
- Lead or assist with special projects, including integration of future acquisitions
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (Public/private mix is a plus)
- Percentage of completion experience preferred
- Technical accounting background with experience in consolidations and % of completion preferred
- Familiarity with private equity environments, multi-entity structures, and acquisition accounting is a plus
- Prior ERP implementation experience is a plus
- Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable in a high-growth, build-as-you-go environment
