Extended and/or weekend work hours may be required on occasion.Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. This individual will lead complex accounting projects, ensure compliance with US GAAP reporting requirements, and serve as a subject matter expert for technical accounting matters across the organization. The role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and effective communication across departments and with external auditors.
Essential Job Responsibilities:- Research, analyze, and document complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, leases, accounting for mergers and acquisitions and other relevant technical areas and strategic transactions.
- Draft and maintain accounting policies, white papers, and internal controls documentation
- Lead the accounting team through acquisition integration and purchase accounting
- Maintain proper documentation and accounting for compliance with debt covenants
- Collaborate with auditors and FP&A teams to ensure accurate financial statements and disclosures
- Work with tax preparers to ensure tax compliance and the proper accounting for taxes
- Partner with legal, treasury, operations, and other stakeholders on business initiatives with accounting implications
- Lead or support special projects, including process improvements and system implementations
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - REQUIRED
- CPA certification - REQUIRED
- 5+ years of relevant experience, including public accounting or equivalent technical accounting advisory experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls
- Excellent technical research and writing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems like Great Plains or Netsuite
- Strong organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
