Responsibilities:
- Use discretion, judgment and advanced knowledge to prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
- Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Develop close relationships with assigned clients and provide tax planning, consulting and compliance expertise.
- Assist all firm clients as needed.
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) and other tax authorities.
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Attend professional development courses and maintain professional licensing.
- Participate in the billings and collections process of the company
- Be a source of technical assistance to other staff. Develop and coach other staff.
- Develop working relationships with co-workers
- Prepare and analyze financial reports for management and clients
- Occasionally assist on attest engagements
- Other duties as assigned by the shareholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field such as finance or business
- CPA (Certified Public Accounting) or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of accounting and tax software
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Desire to exceed client expectations

Schedule and Work Environment
- In office setting. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, scanners, etc.
- You will sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk and work on a computer.
- Monday through Friday during non-peak season
- Monday through Saturday during January - April peak season
