Job Summary:
America’s Auto Auction is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Corporate Tax Accountant to join our growing finance team. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, supporting tax planning initiatives, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the preparation and review federal, state, and local tax returns
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax provisions (ASC 740)
- Support internal and external audits related to tax matters
- Calculate & file monthly sales & use taxes
- Calculate & file annual state personal property tax
- Prepare supporting documentation for tax filings and planning strategies
- Conduct tax research and analyze changes in tax regulation
- Support the preparation of estimated tax payments and extensions
- Record and review monthly Income Tax accruals
- Accumulates supporting documentation to tax filings
- Respond to tax notices and inquiries from tax authorities
- Prepares and records journal entries
- Reconciles balance sheet accounts
- Coordinates with multiple teams during month-end close process
- At the request of the Accounting Manager and Controller, computes various performance measures, projections and analyses on a quarterly and monthly basis and participates in covenant calculations, proformas, and appraisals.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting from an accredited University, with a minimum of three to five years’ relevant experience.
- CPA designation or working toward CPA certification (preferred)
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in tax accounting (public accounting or corporate tax department)
- Excellent analytical, organization and communications skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Exposure to transfer pricing and tax planning strategies (preferred)
Compensation:
- Competitive salary based on experience with a range from $80,000-$90,000 + bonus + benefits package.
