We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. As a Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses and ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws.. Your expertise in financial software such as QuickBooks will be essential in delivering accurate and timely services to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual and corporate tax returns in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Review financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and other relevant records to ensure accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and offering guidance on tax-related matters.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation to ensure compliance and maximize client benefits.
- Utilize accounting software and financial tools to streamline the preparation process.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation for tax preparation.
- Assist in the development of tax strategies for clients to minimize liabilities.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information while adhering to ethical standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in public accounting or as a Tax Preparer is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of tax regulations, corporate accounting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to ensure accuracy in all work performed.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
