A Southern MA CPA Firm providing tax and accounting services to individuals and small businesses is seeking to expand through acquisition and is hiring a seasoned professional capable of running the current office.
Role Description
The Company is seeking a full-time Senior Tax Manager to run an existing office. This person will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as:
- Managing a team of 5-10 CPA and support staff. This includes recruiting, developing, mentoring, motivating or terminating. Assess performance through year-end reviews
- Monitor staff progress and ensure deadlines are met
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships and trusts
- Research tax questions and stay current of regulation changes
- Communicate with clients regarding their accounting and tax needs
- Develop, build and maintain strong client relationships
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS, state, and other tax authorities
- Grow the firm
Requirements
- 8+ years tax return experience in public accounting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or a related field
- CPA
- Previous experience working directly with clients, preparing and reviewing tax returns and managing staff.
- Positive attitude with demonstrated ability to lead and problem solve
- QuickBooks
Compensation
- Competitive salary range plus 20% profits interest.
