Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. We work directly with a variety of small business owners to verify their financials, so that we can plan and prepare their tax returns. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial services and technical accounting, with the ability to analyze financial data and provide insightful interpretations. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and managing the overall tax strategy for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and filing of federal & state tax returns.
- Managing monthly accounting clients & overseeing their tax planning.
- Review tax returns completed by other preparers
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Analyze financial reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective tax planning strategies.
- Provide guidance on SOX compliance and internal controls related to tax processes.
- Mentor and train junior staff members on tax-related issues and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or EA preferred.
- 5 + years of professional tax preparations for Corporations, Partnerships, & Individuals
- Experience with Lacerte tax software a plus
- Works well with a variety of people / personalities
- Excellent follow through
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial report interpretation.
- Proficiency in analyzing complex financial data and preparing detailed reports.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
