Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify potential tax deductions and credits.
- Review financial statements, including general ledger reconciliation and account reconciliation, to ensure accuracy.
- Assist clients with estate planning and provide guidance on securities law as it pertains to their tax situation.
- Write detailed financial reports summarizing tax obligations and strategies for clients.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding their taxes.
- Collaborate with other financial professionals to offer comprehensive financial services.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tax preparation or a related financial field.
- Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Familiarity with financial sales processes and investment strategies is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed financial analysis.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear client interactions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using tax preparation software and other relevant financial tools.
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
