Position Overview
As a CPA within our Financial Advisory Practice, you will play a pivotal role in deepening relationships with our clients by providing expert tax preparation, filing, and planning expertise. Meeting this pent-up demand will be just one more way we serve our clients to help them achieve their financial goals. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our team of financial planners in providing comprehensive financial advice and strategic guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and maximizing tax efficiency.
- As this service grows, oversee the work of others preparing returns.
- Provide proactive tax planning advice to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes.
- Being both proactive and responsive to client requests which will deepen client relationships and earn trust.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to continuously enhance service offerings and provide value-added insights to clients.
- Collaborate with financial planners to develop comprehensive wealth management strategies aligned with clients' objectives.
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA or EA) designation required.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting (desired), Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in tax preparation and/or public accounting.
- Strong technical proficiency in annual tax filing for individuals and small businesses, tax planning, compliance, and financial analysis.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts in a clear and straightforward manner.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and exceeding client expectations.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
