We are currently hiring Contract Tax Preparers (PTIN Holders) to join the Fixer Financial Services team for the upcoming tax season. This is a remote, commission-based role that allows you to work from anywhere and earn unlimited income based on your effort.
We are offering sponsorship, training, and software access to help you get started — even with no prior experience. However, you must be willing to find your own clients.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare individual tax returns for clients (with training)
- Maintain client confidentiality and secure file storage
- Attend virtual training and complete the online tax academy
- Comply with IRS rules, including obtaining your own PTIN
- Market your services and build your own client base
Requirements:
- Must obtain and maintain an active PTIN (we will assist)
- Must be self-motivated and able to source your own clients
- Must have access to a laptop/desktop, printer, secure internet, and file storage system
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and ethical
- Must sign a 1-year seasonal contract (January to October)
- Cannot reside in California or New York

1. Is this commission-based?
Yes. You are paid per return you complete, based on the client fees collected.
2. Do I work from home?
Yes, this is fully remote. You set your own hours.
3. What equipment do I need?
A computer, internet access, printer, secure file storage, and phone.
4. How long is the contract?
One tax season (January–October). No long-term lock-in.
5. Do I need a PTIN?
Yes. We’ll help you get one. Cost is approx. $30.75 via the IRS.
6. Is training included?
Yes, training is provided via online academy + video conference.
7. Do I get clients provided to me?
No. You are responsible for marketing and bringing in your own clients.
Compensation:
- Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
- Pay Range: Commission-Based (average $100+ per hour, depending on your volume)
- No hourly wage – paid per funded return
