Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented people willing to learn to become a Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an opportunity to work remote with the ability to work efficiently during the busy tax season. This role involves preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws. The Tax Preparer will also provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing their inquiries and providing guidance on tax-related matters. Training provided, no experience needed.
Duties
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Review financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and other relevant information to ensure accuracy.
- Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to provide accurate advice to clients.
- Ability to learn and Utilize accounting software
- Conduct thorough reviews of client information to identify potential deductions or credits.
- Assist clients with any inquiries regarding their tax returns or financial situations.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information while adhering to ethical standards in public accounting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tax preparation or public accounting is preferred.
- Strong technical accounting skills with proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage).
- Excellent math skills with the ability to perform calculations accurately.
- Familiarity with 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of complex tax issues.
- A background in financial sales is a plus but not required.
