We are looking for an experienced tax preparer to join our accounting firm. The Tax Preparer will be responsible for helping taxpayers understand their tax returns and correctly filing them. The ideal candidate has a background in accounting and computer skills necessary to execute our financial tasks. Our team is responsible for preparing tax returns for a variety of situations, so we're looking for a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills who can quickly navigate the complexities of taxation.
Responsibilities:
- Calculate the annual tax liability for individuals and businesses.
- Analyze data and make recommendations to clients.
- Collect, maintain, and process tax information.
- Determine tax liability from financial statements.
- Research tax laws and legal cases to inform clients about their legal situation.
- Consider the alternatives available for tax planning and compliance.
- Answer questions about complex tax issues.
