About the Role:
We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper with at least 3+ years of QuickBooks Online experience, and a strong understanding of restaurant accounting. In this role, you'll manage day-to-day financial operations including A/P, A/R, reconciliations, and reporting. Familiarity with Restaurant365 is a plus, but not required.
This is a flexible position ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and has experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Online
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and invoice tracking
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Perform double-entry bookkeeping to ensure data integrity
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements and reports
- Support tax filings and audits by organizing required financial documentation
- Monitor restaurant-specific metrics like COGS, labor costs, and sales summaries
- Communicate with management and outside accountants as needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping with QuickBooks Online (required)
- Experience with restaurant or hospitality accounting
- Restaurant365 software experience (preferred but not required)
- Proficiency in managing A/P, A/R, reconciliations, and general ledger entries
- Strong understanding of restaurant financial terms and reporting (e.g., prime cost, food & beverage costs)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
This position is currently part time with the potential for full time based on performance and availability.
