Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and tax regulations. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our clients by accurately preparing and filing their tax returns while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws. The Tax Preparer will also be responsible for assisting clients with financial inquiries and providing guidance on tax-related matters.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Analyze financial information to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with tax laws.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage to manage client accounts.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding their tax filings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax regulations and financial concepts.
- Assist in bookkeeping tasks and maintain accurate records of client transactions.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify potential tax savings for clients.
- Engage in marketing efforts to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
Experience
- No experience needed.
- Strong background in accounting, including corporate accounting, bookkeeping, and technical accounting.
- Familiarity with financial sales concepts and customer service best practices.
- Proficiency in using financial software and tools, including 10 key typing skills for data entry accuracy.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
