Overview
We are actively enrolling knowledgeable tax professionals who are ready to grow their own client base. We are willing to train serious-minded people who are eager to learn and grow in the tax business. We provide free software, free online webcast training and/or pre-recorded training, free digital marketing materials and team support for you to succeed. Our tax preparers offer virtual online, drop off and in person tax preparation. All tax preparers are responsible for completing all tax law training requirements according to the instruction provided by the company, Master-Key Tax Service. This is a contracted commission-based position therefore, you will receive a 1099-NEC. All preparers must have a PTIN or register with the IRS to obtain a PTIN before preparing tax returns.
We are currently hiring in the Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana areas. Other states will be considered.
Tax Preparer Responsibilities:
- Market via social media, digital marketing materials etc. to obtain your own clients.
- Understand that this is a commission based, contract opportunity
- Informing clients on the tax preparation process
- Collecting relevant financial records and income statements
- Inputting data from financial records into tax return software or databases
- Using applicable federal, state and local tax law to determine deductions and how much each client will pay or earn on the return
- Completing and filing tax documents with appropriate agencies, like the IRS, state and local government entities
- Acting as a representative for clients with applicable agencies as required
- Building customer relationships to promote and expand the business
- Register and obtain a PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) from the IRS by November 31st
Qualifications
- Prefer Strong marketing background with tax experience but will train
- Professionalism, integrity
- Proficiency in financial concepts and math
- Excellent analytical and 10 key typing skills
- Ability to work remotely and independently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Prior experience in digital marketing is a plus
