Acara Solutions is seeking a highly capable contract Interim Senior Accountant to support our client's finance team during a period of transition and growth, including post-acquisition integration. This role will focus on general accounting, tax compliance, and onboarding of newly acquired entities into our financial systems and processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable navigating both routine and project-based workstreams.Please note, this role is temp/contract with an expected duration of 3-4 months. This role is fully remote, and the contractor can be based anywhere in the US.Key Responsibilities:Accounting & Reporting:
- Assist in monthly close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and external regulatory requirements
Tax Compliance & Support:
- Review VAT, state, and local tax filings
- Respond to tax notices
- Maintain organized tax documentation and ensure audit readiness
